Holiday Gerry is a Chicago-based artist with deep roots in the city’s history, especially in the Back of the Yards neighborhood and its Chicano community. His art tells the story of the struggles and triumphs of his community, using murals to spread powerful messages of empowerment, unity, and social justice. He’s especially passionate about Chicano muralism and how it helps celebrate cultural identity while pushing for change.
On top of creating art, Holiday Gerry is all about giving back. He works closely with local schools and community groups, running workshops and hands-on training in muralism and street art. His mission? To inspire and support young artists who want to make an impact through their work.
As a first-generation Chicano and proud Chicago native, Holiday Gerry first discovered his love for art through afterschool programs like After School Matters while attending CPS. Now, he’s a professional artist, activist, and photographer, fully dedicated to teaching and using art to transform lives and bring communities together.
